Tesla to Open Its U.s. Charging Stations to Competitors as Part of a $7.5 Billion Federal Project

The final clause, which is expected to be revealed next week, will put pressure on Tesla to incorporate the CCS1 charging standard, which is used by many of its rivals, in addition to its own proprietary plug. If not, Tesla will miss out on the opportunity to gain $7.5 billion in subsidies as part of President Joe Biden’s proposal to build 500,000 ev chargers over the next few years.
