25 Countries in the Queue For Indian Vaccines

The whole world has witnessed the terror of the Covid 19, and millions of people died due to lack of facilities and vaccines. But with the advent of the Covid 19 vaccine, it has been assuming that people will start recovering from it.

India has produced its own vaccine to fight against Covid 19, as India is known for its humanitarian services. As a humanitarian nation, India has till now supplied COvid 19 vaccines to around 15 countries. And 25 new countries are in a row to get Covid 19 vaccine from India. This stats itself states how India has been playing the role of leader and helping other nations get rid of this virus.

In a recent interview, external affairs minister S Jaishankar told three categories of countries keen to get the vaccine from India — poor, price-sensitive nations and other countries that directly deal with pharmaceutical companies that make the antidote.

“I think right now we have already provided to about 15 countries [as per my recollection]. I would say there would be another about 25 countries that are at different stages in the pipeline. But what it has done is today it has put India on the map of the world,” Mr. Jaishankar said reporters in a press conference. 

Mr. Jaishankar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s idea was to establish the country as the “Pharmacy of the World,” taking advantage of the domestic capabilities and the way India emerged as IT leader during the Y2K issue.

He further stated that some poor countries are being supplied the vaccine on a grant basis while some nations need it on par with the price that the Indian government pays to the vaccine makers.

Earlier Centre has permitted two COVID-19 vaccines — Covaxin of city-based Bharat Biotech and Covishield of Oxford, being manufactured by Serum Institute of India in Pune to frontline workers from January 16, under Emergency Use Authorisation.

Another statement has recently made by Drugmaker Dr. Reddys in which he said that he would approach the Drug Regulator for the EUA for Russian vaccine Sputnik V in March.

Now, it’s high time to realize Made in India Covid 19 vaccine importance and how it is healing people and preventing them from this virus.
