Where There Is A Will, There Is A Way

A complete overhaul in health care is possible with artificial intelligence. AI algorithms will analyze medical records, draw up recovery plans or produce medicines more quickly than any existing medical operator, including any medical practitioner.

Digital technology in medicine and healthcare will help turn inefficient health systems into sustainable ones, stabilize the relationship between medical professionals with patients, and have disease solutions that are cheaper, faster, and more effective. Technology can win the fight against cancer, AIDS, or Corona for us and can simply lead to healthy people.

On that front, we bring you a story of Rajin Ahuja, Executive Chairman of Biomarck Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. Biomarck is a patient-focused innovative biotechnology company that has rapidly evolved into a true platform opportunity across several inflammatory and immunological disease areas with an initial emphasis on pulmonary and oncology. By inhibiting an intracellular protein called “MARCKS”, clinical and preclinical data demonstrate an impressive safety and efficacy profile in acute respiratory distress syndrome, non-small cell lung cancer, uveitis, and an orphan disease called Pyoderma gangrenosum. Rajin is proud to have assembled a top-notch team of talented board members and executives who work well together and quickly recognize opportunistic ideas that can advance Biomarck’s progressive programs.

Looking Forward

In the future, Mr. Ahuja hopes to further expand his outreach by developing therapies for as many orphan indications as possible. This optimistic goal is often thwarted due to the reality that drug development is extremely expensive, difficult, and often without moral support from the general public, which tends to view pharmaceutical companies as selfish, self-serving, and interested only in their bottom line. Also, often diseases in areas with low populations are overlooked by drug companies because of high risk and low returns, but many times these diseases are the most debilitating and emotionally devastating for the patient.

To be able to improve these situations in the future and achieve this level of drug development and therapies, he feels it will be his responsibility to convince and guide the rest of the Board that this can be a win-win situation.

“ What is good and beneficial for society is ultimately also good for our fiduciary responsibility to our shareholders. Quality of life is an inalienable right for all citizens of the world, and we are in a position to help people live their best possible life with their health. ” adds the Executive Chairman.

Meet Rajin Ahuja- The Man who Inspired the power and energy to save every human life.

Born in Saskatoon, Canada, Rajin Ahuja is the son of two medical professionals. He wanted to be a doctor since he was a kid. His parents sent him to the United States as an adolescent in the hopes that he would not only get the best education available but also gain the freedom and self-confidence needed for a prosperous future. Those formative years were lonely for a young teen far from home, but they allowed him to grow into a self-reliant and self-sufficient young man. Rajin developed a world view on the verge of maturity while still figuring out his place in it.

He realized that by immersing himself in the pharmaceutical business, he could help substantially more people improve their quality of life. People all over the world profit from researching new drugs, and it will have a larger impact on improving people’s quality of health and life expectancy.

“This ‘epiphany’ prompted me to take one of the greatest risks of my life, leaving a lucrative and relatively stable career to start my own pharmaceutical business at the age of 25,” says Rajin

Rajin successfully obtained FDA clearance on three “first-to-market” drugs while immersing himself in his business and staying committed to his mission of improving the quality of life for others. He had extensive experience in the interaction, negotiation, and licensing of a variety of medications with some of the world’s most prestigious pharmaceutical firms during this process. Mr. Ahuja’s entrepreneurial background has resulted in the prosperous establishment of many startup pharmaceutical firms with multimillion-dollar valuations.

He has been active in these projects in raising the requisite money to produce and commercialize drugs, making them affordable to patients of all socioeconomic backgrounds. His knowledge and understanding have helped to maximize the efficiency of the ever-important growth funds. His activities have enabled him to expand his pharmaceutical scope into India, Russia, Canada, and South America, thereby improving people’s lives around the world.

Role of Artificial Intelligence

Mr. Ahuja has a strong belief in the potential impact AI can bring into the system of healthcare. He believes,

“If artificial intelligence (A.I.) performs as expected, it has the potential to democratize health care by increasing coverage for underserved populations and lowering prices — a blessing for India, which ranks poorly on multiple health indicators. AI programs could relieve overworked physicians and reduce the risk of medical accidents, which are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands. In India, we all witnessed how a shortage of medical staff is exposed in the light of the covid situation. Artificial Intelligence can do wonders here. But, to make the best of these health-care forecasts, A.I. can’t do it alone. Humans would continue to assist with the making of actions that have significant health and financial implications.”

Message for Young leaders

As the conversation moved ahead, Rajin shared words of wisdom from all the acquired experiences and years of services across the world. He advises,

“The advice for people going into a leadership position for the first time would be to not be afraid of failing. Take failure as a stepping stone. It is how you recover from that failure that will define whether you will be a successful entrepreneur or not. I would advise aspiring entrepreneurs to never give up – it is a long and winding road with many pitfalls along the way, but arriving at your destination will be worth the trip! Finally, the last piece of advice would be to allow yourself a few indulgences. A brief respite from all that hard work can refresh and re-energize oneself.”
