The organizational culture and leadership consulting industry is constantly reshaped by AI integration, specialized boutique offerings, hybrid delivery models, and a growing focus on ESG and employee well-being. Firms are shifting toward outcome-based and agile consulting to deliver faster ROI, while leveraging data and analytics to enhance precision. However, these advancements have brought a wave of challenges – automation disrupting traditional roles, internal resistance to change, and heightened complexity from volatile markets – that all threaten sustainable transformation.

The scenario demands transformational leaders who can chart a new course for companies to navigate seismic shifts and global market volatility, an arena in which Margaret ‘Magi’ Graziano is making a resounding impact. As founder and CEO of Keen Alignment, she addresses these pressures head-on by unlocking human potential and elevating organizational effectiveness, so that leaders and teams thrive in the age of digital transformation.

The Making of a Resilient Leader

Resilience has defined Margarets’ career – forged in moments where she had to rewrite the rules. In the late 1980s, as a single mother determined to provide for her family, she found herself bound by workplaces that offered neither flexibility nor understanding. So, she took control of her destiny and became her own boss, stepping into the world of recruitment consultancy.

In 2013, she founded KeenAlignment, building on 20 years of recruiting, staffing and search coupled with a decade of coaching and leading large group self-awareness trainings. Margaret’s vision was to give CEOs, business leaders and entrepreneurs the experiences, tools and resources that transformed the way they approached their organization. Through integration of self-discovery, neuroscience, experiential workshops and change management principles, Margaret developed a world-class Culture Blueprint that catalyses positive organizational change from the inside out. With a body of work that eloquently interests human potential and peak performance with organizational development and operational excellence. At first, she believed this mission hinged on converting her intellectual property, ConsciousHiring™, into a software business. However, when that venture collapsed and a non-compete agreement shut one door, she opened another. Pivoting to organizational culture was a natural progression of her 20-plus years of serving the human systems of organizations. She bootstrapped KeenAlignment into a thriving enterprise. Now, in her third successful business, Margaret is elevating leaders to catalyse emergent organizational cultures.

Engineering Thriving Cultures and People

KeenAlignment has built its reputation on partnering with business and organizational leaders to navigate periods of unprecedented change. Whether it’s a new executive team, a cultural overhaul, or a market shake-up, the company transforms disruption into growth. At the core of its work is its flagship methodology, Emergent Culture—a strategic approach that prepares organizations to not just respond to change, but anticipate it. “It is about anticipating the moment and getting in front of it so that no matter what happens, the organization is equipped to be a market leader,” says Margaret.

With more than a decade in operation, KeenAlignment’s growth has been driven by three foundational pillars. First is selective client partnerships – the company collaborates specifically with leaders committed to internal and external transformation who inspire lasting change. Second, experiential programs – dynamic, unscripted engagements that adapt in real time to a client’s present state and future goals. And third, the modular Emergent Culture Blueprint – a proven framework grounded in human potential, change management principles, and tailored practices that keep organizations agile and responsive. Together, these elements enable KeenAlignment not merely to facilitate change, but to cultivate cultures that thrive in it.

Forged in the fire of leadership

The Challenge arc

Hard lessons and hard work are the core tenets of Margaret Graziano’s business journey. One of her earliest challenges came when transitioning from recruitment to software development. After moving to California to start her software business, she chose a partner who did not share her core value of integrity. “I wanted to build a workflow hiring process, but the partner’s real mission was to disintermediate the human out of HR and create an automated hiring system that required no human judgment,” she recalls. This misalignment forced her to dismantle the venture.

Over time, she also learned the hard truth that in the service industry, success depends entirely on the quality of the people you bring on board. Early missteps in hiring consultants became invaluable lessons, shaping her current commitment to surrounding herself with people who share her values. Even partnerships with advertising and marketing firms yielded underwhelming results, reinforcing her belief that personal relationships, speaking engagements, and published work are far more effective in building a strong client base.

Philosophy Reveal

These challenges also shaped the crucible in which her leadership philosophy was shaped. She learned to make herself the “#1 customer,” committing to continuous personal development. With over 25 years of recruiting, search staffing experience and her company placing more than 30,000 people in roles, Margaret cultivated a rare depth of insight into why people stay, leave, or accept opportunities.

This wealth of experience now forms the bedrock of KeenAlignment’s trainings, retreats, and workshops, all built on three core pillars: Neuroscience-backed learning for lasting transformation, experiential and ontological methods that engage participants in active growth, and human-centered change strategies that intersect human potential with effective change management. This fusion of personal experience, proven expertise, and clarity of values has transformed setbacks into stepping stones, cementing Margaret’s reputation as an accomplished leader.

Redefining Engagement Through Innovation

As dynamic as the consultancy industry has become, the focus has shifted toward how companies and their employees operate in a rapidly evolving environment. To deal with the changing scenario, Margaret and her team use innovative frameworks like Liberating Structures to harness the collective intelligence of client organizations. These methods empower employees to engage in experiential learning within a safe, supportive environment, ensuring transformation is personalized and catalysed among the team.

The framework is optimized with technologies, reshaping how value is delivered. The company integrates AI into curriculum development to design customized training programs for specific industries. They also incorporate neuroscience-based modalities such as HeartMath and Psych-K to unlock individual potential.  As far as tech, “I invest 30 minutes a day in tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity to stay on the trends,” Margaret shares. This allows her to continually refine her methods for unlocking each person’s unique potential.

A Culture built on connections

KeenAlignment’s culture is anchored in a shared purpose and a culture of personal empowerment. “I inspire each consultant to connect with our noble cause and empower them to be the best version of themselves, even when they struggle to see their own potential,” Margaret explains. It enables her to gain insights into the unique strengths of team members, nurturing their creativity and providing the resources they need to thrive.

Her approach is both challenging and supportive. She prompts the team by asking, “How can you take this and make it your own?”, encouraging them to push their boundaries while fostering a culture where consultants regularly brainstorm and share ideas in dedicated sessions. While driving her team forward, Margaret ensures everyone is connected. They organize retreats, regular team calls, remote gatherings, and even ad hoc personal check-ins to maintain strong connections.

Transformation meets social responsibility

KeenAlignment is not only “Transforming people in the places they work”—it’s also making a lasting social impact. The company believes that when individuals awaken their true nature, they naturally recognize and honour the same in others, fostering civility, cooperation, and what Margaret calls ResponseAgilityTM. In such environments, trust deepens and respect becomes second nature, cultivating workplaces where individuals and teams thrive.

Margaret emphasizes that in an increasingly tech-driven industry, KeenAlignment remains intentional about nurturing genuine human connection. “We actively build these relationships by seeking speaking engagements, sponsoring events, and doing pro bono work with organizations we care about,” she shares. The team also hosts fundraising events for causes close to their hearts, mentors through women-focused organizations, and hosts book giveaways to engage their audience and expand their reach.

Championing Women, Shaping the Future

Margaret is equally passionate about championing women in the entrepreneurial arena. Having earned her place through sheer will and commitment, she believes women who aspire to scale their businesses must first heal generational trauma. They should prioritize personal growth and embrace continuous progress, as there is no cap on growth in a world defined by uncertainties.

On the business front, Margaret envisions building a robust network of women entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate leaders united by collaboration, shared knowledge, and mutual growth. “By 2030, I plan to achieve this by hosting events of at least 500 people, creating an abundant network of ‘go-givers’ who are changing the world together through the exchange of services, resources, and professional development,” she shares proudly. With such ambitious plans in progress, Margaret Graziano is poised to set new benchmarks.
