Creating Innovative Professionals for the Digital-First Era – The Vision of Marie Vandenberghe and Quality Training

The world of business is changing, and with that, everything from technology to processes and leadership is evolving. Speaking of leadership, the focus has shifted from merely keeping pace to empowering people to lead that change. While several leaders are walking this path, women are making a resounding impact. They are no longer on the sidelines of change; instead, they are leading it. From reshaping businesses to steering digital transformation, women are reshaping industries with a strong calibre rooted in adaptability, sustainability, and real-world insights.

Within this movement, Marie Vandenberghe, Founder and CEO of Quality Training, has carved a distinctive space. A visionary advocate of human-centred digital transformation, Marie is reimagining training as a strategic lever rather than a support function. Under her empowering leadership, Quality Training has earned a reputation for providing the skills and knowledge that create resilient organisations for the modern market. In our entrancing edition, “Global Business Women of 2025,” Marie marks her name among the rising ‘Leaders of Change’ by exemplifying a distinct business archetype: one where leadership is not recognized by metrics but by the ability to empower others.

Reimagining how Professionals Learn and Evolve

“Growth is not just about mastering tools, but to empower people to adapt, think critically, and move forward with confidence.”

The statement sums up what training in the professional space should be about. In today’s training environment, relying solely on teaching tools or simply transferring technical knowledge won’t help professionals decode business challenges. As a former trainer and training manager with considerable experience, Marie understood the need of the hour: modern professionals need customized skills to understand the deeper challenges organizations are facing. By combining her experience with a deep passion to create innovative projects, she brought the idea of Quality Training to life.

The organisation stands on distinct core values. The first one is ‘People’, since training depends on relationships, listening, and motivation of the people. Second is ‘Agility’, as it is crucial to ensure training modules and tools are adaptive to changing business scenarios. Lastly, ‘Humanity’ as Quality Training contribute to charitable associations that enable hundreds of children to live better lives with access to education. Such values, combined with the underlying human-centric approach positions it as a holistic training organization whose foundation rests on a simple conviction: training is only meaningful if it truly transforms people and organizations.

Customized Training Solutions for a Dynamic Marketplace

Quality Training is on a mission to empower organisations worldwide through practical, innovative, results-driven training solutions and coaching. “We focus not only on delivering knowledge, but on ensuring that participants can immediately apply what they learn in their professional context,” says Marie. With a focus on personalization and measurable impact, they design programmes tailored to the specific needs, goals, and culture of each organization.

Quality Training offers over 100 different coaching programmes on Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365, AI, Outlook and email management, Adobe products, Canva, Trello, and Copilot. Parallel to this, it offers soft skills training on leadership, emotional management, time management, right to disconnect, stress management, effective communication, and training the trainer.

The organisation has a fine brigade of trainers who excel in combining their expertise with a hands-on approach in learning sessions. It ensures every learning experience is engaging, which translates into scalable performance improvements. Every training module is aligned with tangible business outcomes, ensuring clients can navigate, adapt and grow in an ever-changing environment.

The Power of Flexible and Multi-Modal Learning

In the training industry, striking a balance between innovation and stability can be challenging. Innovation is evolving rapidly, especially due to the impact of COVID-19 and the rise of AI. As a professional training organisation that evolved alongside the industry, these transitions push Marie and her team members to innovate their approaches and methods in the way they deliver learning experiences. The combination of in-person, digital, blended, and flipped learning models has been a key factor in enhancing the impact of their training programmes. “Our clients operate across different zones, which makes flexibility quintessential,” adds Marie.

The multi-modal approach allows Quality Training to adapt to diverse contexts, learning styles, and organizational needs. In-person sessions foster interaction, networking, and experiential learning while digital and blended formats emphasise accessibility, continuity, and scalability. On the other hand, the flipped pedagogy encourages participants to prepare in advance so that they dedicate classroom time to practice and application.

The personalized delivery methods help tackle skill gaps, resistance to change, and disengagement in learners. Ultimately, they are equipped not only with what they need to learn, but also with what they need to evolve. This approach ensures organisations can navigate industry transitions and disruptions, and is supported by people who can drive the change, rather than merely react to it.

Importance of Partnership and Collaboration

Alongside its innovative training models, Quality Training distinguishes itself through strong professional partnerships and a deeply consultative approach to client relationships. The partnership with Microsoft offers learners direct access to the latest tools, technologies, and globally recognised practices. This partnership not only elevates the quality and relevance of learning but also expands the range of opportunities available to participants.

This partnership-driven philosophy also shapes how Quality Training engages with its clients. As Marie explains, every learner passes a comprehensive intake process, where project managers work closely with them to understand expectations and individual learning objectives. They analyze personal goals and perform skill-level assessments to create homogeneous groups. Following this onboarding phase, learners receive customized study materials tailored to their current skills and expectations. The support continues beyond the classroom through dedicated helpdesks and video-based learning tips. This end-to-end approach has helped Quality Training build a diverse, cross-industry client portfolio, attracting both local and multinational organisations, including IBA, Médecins Sans Frontières, UCB, and Viatris Pharma.

AI-Integrated Learning Curricula

One of the most emerging innovations in the professional landscape is artificial intelligence, and Quality Training has curated AI-specific courses. Recognising the growing need for practical, workplace-ready applications, the organisation offers customised training programmes that focus on the role of AI in professional environments. Courses such as “Transform Your Daily Life with Microsoft’s Viva Suite” and “Boost Your Professional Efficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot,” alongside hands-on sessions with ChatGPT, demonstrate how AI, integrated into Microsoft 365 tools, can significantly enhance productivity and performance. These programmes enable learners to understand the complexities of AI while applying it to elevate their work.

Quality Training also prioritizes agility to stay at par with the rapidly evolving technological landscape. With AI and office automation advancing at an unprecedented speed, the organisation continuously updates itself. Its teams closely monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and industrial shifts to design training solutions that can prepare learners and businesses alike to stay ahead in an AI-driven market.

Marie Vandenberghe – Resilient Through Growth and Change

Marie has spent over two decades in the professional training space, and her journey is marked by both challenges and defining moments of growth. However, the ups and downs haven’t shaken her resolve; instead, they have sharpened her expertise. What’s interesting here is her ability to push past obstacles and stay flexible with changing scenarios. Reflecting on the hardships, Marie recalls that when she established Quality Training, she designed, delivered, and managed all the training sessions by herself. “It wasn’t easy,” she admits, “but as contracts increased, I knew I had to let go.” Today, the organisation works with 45 instructors, while Marie has transitioned into team management, project management, and the business side of things.

Stepping away from training, which she loved and enjoyed, was difficult. However, Marie realized she could not be everywhere at once, and growth demanded a different kind of leadership. It was also difficult to establish her organisation’s credibility in an already crowded market. Nevertheless, her confidence in her team, combined with a clear belief in the organisation’s direction, proved pivotal. Her ability to strategically delegate and lead without losing sight of purpose has become a cornerstone of Quality Training and a defining trait of her leadership.

Leading a Learner-First Culture

Whether it’s training or leadership, Marie’s approach clearly reflects a balance of agility and humility. Her leadership inspires the team to embrace a learner-first mindset. They are curious and humble while maintaining rigorous standards. It helps them listen, heed client feedback, and act accordingly.

The team also maintains strong collaboration among themselves to ensure seamless teamwork among trainers, project managers, and designers. Every project they work on starts with thorough planning and clear roles, backed by open communication and regular check-ins. It allows the team to monitor progress and engage in real-time problem-solving. This flexible structure ensures team members work towards a shared goal and outcomes make a measurable impact.

Driving Impact Beyond Work and Workplace

Marie’s leadership has many facets, but a crucial aspect is her heart for social work. As such, a dedicated portion of the organisation’s budget goes to supporting NGOs that work on impactful ventures. A good example of this is their partnership with the Indah Association (www.indah.be). This organization works to improve access to education for children and women in Rwanda, Madagascar, and Sri Lanka. “Such humanitarian initiatives give deep meaning to my work and to the entire team,” says Marie. Knowing that their work benefits and contributes to a better world is an immense source of pride and motivation for the entire team.

Celebrated for Excellence in Professional Training

Quality Training is on a mission to prepare professionals for the digital-first era. The mission hasn’t gone unrecognized. Marie stands honoured as her organisation has won 4 consecutive HR Excellence Awards, which have helped them gain a strong visibility within the human resources community. Recently, Quality Training has been nominated again as “Best Learning & Development Organisation 2026.”

Quality Training also organizes HR Events and Garden Parties, and participates in HR leadership summits as well. These events are designed to bring HR leaders together, providing opportunities to exchange ideas, gain inspiration from peers and learn from speakers. “Our goal is to create holistic experiences that not only develop skills but also foster connections, collaboration, and innovation across organizations,” says Marie. This underscores her belief that meaningful learning extends beyond sessions and into relationships that shape the future of work.

Unfolding the Next Chapter

With 17 years of strong and sustainable business, Quality Training has made a deliberate impact on the industry. But for Marie, the milestone to be proud of is the positive impact they have made on the lives of hundreds of children and families across many countries. Such milestones are worth more than any profit margins and accolades. It pushes Marie and her team to explore new opportunities. In that context, the organisation plans to keep innovating its curricula through team-building activities and establish a new department focused on HR events.

While working on these goals, Marie and her team aim to expand their AI-driven integrations in their programmes to enhance personalization, adaptive learning, and real-time insights. This will help model learning experiences adaptive to emerging work practices, ensuring professionals thrive in fast-changing environments with the suitable set of skills.
