What conditions must be met for a novel idea to become a prosperous enterprise? An idea cannot prosper on its own. The premise for a product or service must be effective to solve a certain issue while also bringing in money. It is at this crossroads that something spectacular unfolds. But this won’t become a reality without an actionable figure who can put together the necessary resources and other support. In other words, for an innovative idea to succeed, it should be carried by a capable change bringer. In our latest edition, “Trailblazing Entrepreneurs of the Year – 2023” we are putting together stories of such innovative personas.
Our search took us to Calgary, Alberta, Canada where we got in touch with a veteran business leader, Mr. Arden Styles (MBA, PMP). He is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of CEGEN Environmental Group, a company offering environmentally amicable technology for industrial noise reduction, industrial enclosures, and compact homes. In an interview, he shared with us his journey to become an exemplary leader, and how he uses his experience to lead a team that can deliver marketplace success and more importantly, to make a difference.
FROM A LEADER TO CHANGE BRINGER
Arden’s passion for business initially stemmed from its dynamic variety. He entered the field of business consultancy to harness and make use of the depth of knowledge it involved after graduating from business school. His career path eventually led him from advising, to operations management, venture capital, executive leadership, and finally, marketing. He has a track record of completing over 60 projects for diverse organizations while working at KPMG and EY related to strategy and improvement in operations. He came to understand along the road that businesses are prone to uncertainties, which prevents them from operating efficiently.
He was passionate about company change and wanted to assist organisations in navigating the confusion and achieving greater levels of success. Finally, he arrived at CEGEN Environmental Group’s doors, and works with the executive team to implement innovation. He completely revamped the company’s brand and marketing whilst serving as its CCO. Numerous clients in the oil, gas, energy, and cryptocurrency mining sectors have benefited from CEGEN’s services during the past six years throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Arden brings CEGEN a fresh perspective, similar to a compass waypoint while remaining cognizant of the actual trail. This helps the company to be nimble, flexible, and adaptive with changing market conditions.
A NOVEL CATALOGUE OF PRODUCTS
The bold and cutting-edge technology offered by CEGEN helps clients maintain their environmental impact compliance. CEGEN’s offerings are divided into three lines. The first is industrial noise control. The service helps clients reduce the noise footprint of industrial installations, including upstream, midstream, and downstream facilities, and power production noise cases. The company has an extensive range of items made to handle both low risk and extremely sensitive noise conditions. Next, CEGEN offers infrastructure for cryptocurrency mining. For example, CEGEN offers an enclosure system that reduces the sound signature of legacy crypto mining infrastructure. CEGEN calls it the “decibel destroyer”. “Imagine high-density mining; 1,500 S19Pros or more, all in a compact physical space. CEGEN’s Titan pod can be customised to a client’s needs, is lightweight, strong, and highly weather resistant. There are options for HVAC, free-air, and immersion cooling,” says Arden. Finally, CEGEN offers compact homes known as “SEED Homes”. These are high-performance, modern homes that help clients save money by lowering building costs, all while embracing innovative design and upholding a high level of construction quality.
CEGEN’s products share a common genesis: steel frames and parts that have been panel-formed and assembled to create robust structures. In addition, CEGEN uses cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and creative ideas to create highly robust structures that are also affordable for consumers. Arden continues, “And we work hard to offer more than we promise in every client engagement.”
DELIBERATELY ADAPTIVE TO CHANGE
As a company, CEGEN views innovation as the foundation of its ongoing prosperity. As a result, it strives constantly to maintain its adaptability and responsiveness to market developments.
