Aditi Gupta is the Founder of Menstrupedia. She is one of the topmost Women Entrepreneurs in India. She works for a social cause, which is why she co-founded Menstrupedia along with her spouse, Tuhin Paul, to spread awareness about Menstruation. She had faced a lot of taboo associated with Menstruation. Earlier she had to handle her painful time without getting any help to relieve the pain. Then she decided to do something for those women resonating with the same problem. Therefore, she created a website based on mensuration, where she had posted illustrations and graphics to teach women regarding periods. Women find her website very helpful: therefore it becomes very popular among women who seek knowledge regarding periods. Aditi Gupta did not stop there; she continues to work towards menstrual hygiene awareness to eliminate misconceptions about this natural process. 

2. Suchi Mukherjee – Founder & CEO of Limeroad

Suchi Mukherjee, the Founder, and CEO of Limeroad. She started an online lifestyle and clothing marketplace, Limeroad. She created it in 2012, and today she is on the list of top women entrepreneurs in India. Her website has become one of the most stylish shopping websites for men and women.

If we talk about her education, she has done graduation in economics and owns a master’s degree in Finance from the Economic school of London. She is also a recipient of many awards like the coolest startup award from business today, the unicorn startup award from NDTV, and the Infocom woman of the year award from Digital Business.

3. Indra Nooyi – The board member of Amazon

Before joining Amazon’s board of directors, she was the CEO of PepsiCo.She has completed her graduation from Yale school of management; after that, she worked with Johnson & Johnson. Next, she worked as a strategy consultant in Boston Consulting Group.

In 1994, she began working at PepsiCo; next, she directed the company as CEO from 2006 to 2018. In Feb 2019, she was elected to Amazon’s board of directors. In 2017, Forbes awarded her with the title of the world’s 11th powerful woman.

4. Chitra Gurnani DagaFounder: Thrillophilia.com

Chitra Gurnani Daga is the Chairman of Thrillophilia. She hails from Bangalore and is among the top 10 women entrepreneurs in India. In 2009, she and her spouse started Thrillophilia. They started this venture because of their passion for traveling. So, they named it Thrillophilia, a travel company whose aim is to make travelers experience at their best and provide them moments they will cherish forever. She didn’t stop here; her aim is to spread awareness regarding travel sports and destinations for tourists within the country. She has done MBA in Marketing from the Indian school of business. Earlier, she worked as a software engineer at SAP and Infosys. Her aim is to build an organization that gives value to employees as well as customers rather than just focussing on revenue.

5. Richa Kar- Co-founder of Zivame

We all have heard about Zivame, an online lingerie store. Richa Kar is the Founder of Zivame, and her online store success has helped her make her place in the top 10 women entrepreneurs in India. She got this idea when she was browsing the victoria secret site and found that they have a huge profit, and there is no brand available for Indian women. As we all know that We all feel shy while talking and purchasing lingerie offline. Therefore, to eradicate this shyness, in 2011, she founded Zivame. However, Zivame made its way and became successful in educating women across the country regarding lingerie. Zivame gives freedom to women to choose lingerie of their choice and eliminate awkwardness regarding intimate wear. Previously, she had a corporate job, and she has done engineering along with an MBA degree.

6. Vandana Luthra – The Founder of VLCC

VLCC is a famous brand that is known for its beauty, slimming service center, along with many more services. Vandana Luthra is the founder of VLCC. Not only this, but she is also a philanthropist and chairman of the beauty and wellness sector skill council. In 1989, Vandana Luthra started VLCC as a beauty and slimming service center. She did not stop here and further added more services like a full-body laser, grooming, hair-building, and Dermat. In 2013, President Pranab Mukherjee awarded her with Padma Shri. She also runs an NGO, Khushi, which provides scholarships to physically challenged and underprivileged students.

7. Shradha Sharma- Founder & CEO of YourStory

Shradha Sharma is the CEO and Founder of YourStory. She took a bold decision by quitting her reputed job in a famous media house such as CNBC in Mumbai. During her job, she came across a lot of people and their stories, she wanted to showcase those success stories, but no channel gave her this opportunity. While working for NewsChannel like CNBC, she started her blog YourStory as she was well versed with newspapers and news channels business practices, she applied them in her blog. If we talk about her qualification, she owns an MBA degree from the University of Washington.

9. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw – The Founder of Biocon Limited

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is one of the top 10 women entrepreneurs in India.

 She is known as one of the richest self-made women entrepreneurs in India. In 1978, she established a biopharmaceutical firm. Biocon limited is the first company that got approval from USFDA. She invested a lot of money to establish an in-depth R&D biotech firm. Later, she has been listed as India’s 54th richest person and 65th powerful woman in the world in 2019. If we talk about her qualification, she has done graduation from Bangalore University and a Master’s degree from Melbourne University.

10.  Ritu Kumar – The Fashion designer

Ritu Kumar is an Indian fashion designer who has done her schooling at Loreto convent and completed her graduation from Lady Irwin College. After that, she was rewarded with a scholarship at New York, where she pursued her art history. She started her fashion career in Kolkata. Earlier, she used to make bridal wear and evening clothes. After getting a lot of experience, she decided to move to the International market. Today, she is running her business in different countries. She was a recipient of Padam Shri by the Government of India in 2013.
