And they’re responsible to contribute the money as well. The Indian entertainment industry is a multi-cultural ecosystem consisting several film industries. Here is a list of the top 10 production houses in India keeping these industries alive.

TOP 10 PRODUCTION HOUSES IN INDIA

1. DHARMA PRODUCTIONS:

The production house has over 46 years of history in bringing many cult-favorite movies like Kapoor & Sons, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It has also introduced some of the biggest stars of this generation like Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan, and so on.

2. EROS INTERNATIONAL:

Eros is the name behind blockbusters including as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Bajirao Mastani, which have received filmfare nominations for best films. Furthermore, it has given us great movies like Hero, Badlapur, and even Bengali movies like Bela Seshe.

3. NADIADWALA GRANDSON ENTERTAINMENT (NGE):

The NGE family has been producing blockbusters for more than three generations and has been in the entertainment industry since 1955. They are the creators of numerous film franchises, including Housefull, Baaghi, and Judwaa, in addition to films with strong substance, including Tamasha and Highway.

4. VIACOM 18:

Despite having only been in operation for ten years, the production company has carved out a sizable portion of the Indian television genre market. It runs over 44 entertainment, music, and movie channels in Hindi and English throughout 80 countries. Some of its well-known releases are Drishyam 2, Geharaiyaan, and Jugjugg Jeeyo.

5. CAPE OF GOOD FILMS:

It has established itself as one of India’s top production firms in terms of films that have impacted audiences’ hearts and minds. It has created a number of classics like Baby (2015), Airlift (2016), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), and Mission Mangal (2019), as well as highly acclaimed and National Award-winning films like Rustom (2016) and PadMan (2018).

 7. AAMIR KHAN PRODUCTIONS:

They were behind some of the best films ever made, including Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Delhi Belly, Talaash, and Dangal. In addition, they don’t hesitate to handle serious subjects in their films. For example, Taare Zameen Par tackles dyslexia, and Secret Superstar deals with parental abuse.

8. BALAJI TELEFILMS:

They are among India’s leading creators of entertainment content. Its primary line of work is the development of television software for Hindi, Telegu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, five Indian languages. The firm is more than a content provider; it has reshaped the Indian television industry.

9. RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT:

Owned by the Reliance Group, the production company has an impressive line-up of movies in Hindi, English, and many other languages that it distributes both within India and beyond. They provide a one-stop shop for high-quality stock photos, audio, and movies. In Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, they have theatrical distribution channels. Furthermore, they are involved in regional and Bollywood film promotion.

9. YASH RAJ FILMS (YRF):

YRF, founded by the great director Late Yash Chopra, is a fully integrated privately owned studio in India that has produced over 80 films. It controls practically every part of the value chain, from production to post-production, domestic and international distribution, music and home entertainment, marketing, design, digital, licencing, merchandising, and so on.

10. T-SERIES:

This is one of India’s leading production companies, and its Bollywood and Indi-pop song soundtracks are well-known. It has produced a number of highly successful films, including Kabir Singh, Saaho, and Bhool Bhulaiyya. T-Series is actually the largest record label.
